3D printing to accelerate coral reef growth in Puerto Rico

The Marine Environment Society (SAM) and Engine-4 use artificial, biodegradable material to regenerate these ecosystems affected by climate change and hurricanes Irma and María.
With the intention of developing protective zones and restoring marine habitats, the Marine Environment Society (SAM) and Engine-4 have joined their capabilities and resources to accelerate the growth of coral reefs along the shores of Puerto Rico using three-dimensional (3D) printing technology.
